Me Then Him Now update

Last time I wrote my son was a junior in HS looking to go to college. Now he's a junior in college looking to the future after college. He's no longer a crazy teenager but almost 21. To give you all hope he is so cool now! His crazy teenage brain has settled into wisdom. He's focused on his work at school, he's responsible, compassionate, and kind. He's a pleasure to be around. There aren't so many Oh Mom! moments anymore. I think in part it's because I trust him and have let him go. He's earned my trust and respect by being responsible and mature. I still worry of course, it's in my genes. I keep my mouth shut though. Well most of the time.
I know when you're in the middle of raising a teen it's crazy and frustrating sometimes. Stay with them hold on for the ride! It will take you somewhere great!

Thank you for letting us know how much better things have gotten.
I know we all reach out for help when things are bleak but as things get better we don't post. People like you, that take the time to let the rest of know that there is light at the end of the tunnel, are very much appreciated.
