Everything has gone from bad to worse at my daughters high school. I have had to files charges on one of her teacher's. It seems like this will not stick because the charge of "Simple Battery" has to show premeditation of intent to hurt. This individual was angry and hurt her and I'm being told by this school system that I'm making too much out of it. I have also heard the excuses of "He is from a different country and he's brash." to "Teachers get cranky at the end of the year." And let's not forget this excuse... "It's how you were dressed." All of this is to justify what he did. Children under the age of 18 are minors. Violence against children, whether it be emotional abuse or physical abuse, in my opinion, should be taken seriously. Especially if the violater is a teacher.
