I think in the future we will have relationship and sex classes for children whe they reach puberty.

Children always want to do that which is forbidden and the question which we should look at is, "what if we are wrong?"

What if children should be taught how to have sex and TO have sex as a recreational activity. Perhaps then, when the taboo is gone sex will not be so interesting to them?

Dear Max,
I'm afraid that the adolescent sex drive will remain very powerful regardless of our response. Better that we adults focus our energy in raising the critical questions that rarely get raised in a teen's world, about the values and morality of sex. Lecturing and threatening never get this done. This only happens with quiet, respect-based talks---not one "TALK" but ten-thousand mini talks about male vs female sexual values, the effects of culture, and so on. The research is quite clear that kids who get good, objective, respectful information on things like sex and drugs tend to do less of either. Don't quit talking and don't play strategies to try and manuver kids into behaviors. Straight-up talking is always the best.
