Dr. Bradley's new book-in-progress profiling our children's perspective on parenting and teen issues is such a great idea. I'm looking so forward to reading it.

Our kids reach that age when it seems that they'd rather talk to anyone but us (their parents) about their feelings and behaviour. I often hear from other parents about what other kids are doing/feeling but, even when these parents know details about my kids, they are reluctant to share anything but good news with me. My own kids will share (limited) information about their friends before sharing the same information about themselves. Sometimes when they do share, the message is very cryptic and I really have to listen well to hear what they are trying to tell me. I think Dr. Bradley's book will be a great 'read between the lines' for me.

To the kids out there who are reading this...please share your thoughts with us parents. It helps us to make the best parenting decisions because it's the only way we can truly understand each other. Thanks.
