Dr. Bradley,

You are my hero! I am almost finished reading your book "Yes, Your Teen is Crazy" and I must tell you that it has been the BEST parenting book I have EVER read. Where have you been most of my teen parenting life?

I was seriously thinking of contacting a counselor to help my husband and I parent our youngest son (15) because he was already down the wrong path (drugs) and we didn't know what to do. Your book, we realized, was all we needed! Reading your book gave me confidence on how to handle him. Do you know that we strongly believe our son is not engaging in it anymore? His behavior has improved 10 fold.....alll the way around. I even cancelled his drug assessment appointment. Actually, I postponed it because I was advised to make another one.....but I honestly do not think I will have to.

Dear "Mom",
I am so pleased to hear that things have improved for your family, and I'd love to take the credit, but the fact is that if things are better it's because of the good work you guys have done. Saying this parenting stuff in a book is easy. Doing it is hard. I know, because as a parent I struggle to follow my own advice on many occasions. When I succeed, I know it's not because of a book (even my own) but because of the love and self-discipline I try to find in my heart.
Don't be too upset if things backslide a tad. It would be expected that your son will test you a few times before he sees that things are not going to change.
