Hi Everyone,

I am so happy to have found this site and am definetley buying the book . "Your teenager is crazy!" I just about had myself convinced I was the one going crazy:eek: . Our teens ages range from 2-16year olds, 2-14 year olds, and 1-12 year old.
They are absolutley nuts. I like two of them right at this moment. I love them all very much, however do not like them all. IM so sick of the nastiness, and give me attitude. I am not sure where they have learned that all they have to do is ask , and they get whatever it is they want, without having to do anything for it.
The oldest 16 year old boy will not do anything, he's lazy, cuts school, will not work, wants to sleep all day and stay up all night. Will not eat with the family, but I wake up to his mess in the kitchen every morning.
When I do confront him on his behavior he is so nasty and swares at me that I have stopped and try to just avoid him.
Our girl 16 who's biological Disneyland mom gave her a new car for her birthday, is now never home. Does not come home till 3.00am and now won't come here at all. So she stays at her mom's house because mom lets her do anything she wants. It has caused a lot of disharmony at home. IM stressed my husbands stressed. Its killing our marriage.
Any advice would be gratefully appreiciated.

Dear Mom,
You need to get your family to counseling YESTERDAY! I know that many/most of the kids will resist, but you must make this happen. First, call a family meeting and try asking them, saying that you are sure that they are as unhappy with the way things are as you are. If that doesn't do it, offer them an incentive to attend. If that fails, go on strike saying that there will be no more shopping, laundry, rides, cell phones and so on until everyone commits to trying to make things better by getting some help. Your kids' "crazy" behaviors are smoke detectors trying to warn everyone that things are spiraling out of control.
Good luck.
