Before I even read this book.....
I was cleaning out my 15 year olds overnight bag and found an empty beer bottle. She wasn't at home so instead of freaking out, I put it on her trophy shelf. When she came in that evening I showed her the furniture swapping I had completed in her room.
I pointed to her trophy shelf and said, "and here is the bottle from the first beer that you ever drank!" She was shocked and tried to come up with a few stories like "picking up trash" etc....
