Hello
I live in south of France. Forgive me in advance for my english.
My 15 y. o. daughter is in a high school where most of the families are more than wealthy. Teens have plenty of "pocket money" and love to organize parties. During which they drink alcohol and smoke ( ashish too) a lot.
My daughter doesn't understand why she's the only one who can't sleep out after the parties.
I'm mad about those parents who give their children so much money and freedom. I do feel lonely. They have children to sleep at their home without wondering about the parents of those kids. They have no phone number to reach them just in case!!
Yesterday my daughter called me because she had no more way to come back before midnight( my husband was as work and I can't drive since my surgery). She told me (SMS ) also I forbid her , she would still go to the party.
I was stucked and suddenly scared as I had no adress at that time.
So I tried not to clash with her and wrote her she would rather find another way out than to "pay" a lot for that party. I also told her I was trying to find another solution too. And found one ; a good friend to go and pick her up.
What are we supposed to do in case of blackmail feeling like an ostage.?
Which options? My husband wants to deprive her from getting out ..
She blames me for not trusting her.
In september I plan to get the highschool involved in that alcohol' problem during the parties , they want it or not.
School have to support the fight against drugs and sure CAN and should support the parents. What the point of spending Time and money for teaching teens who " burn" their brains each saturday's night.?
