Son's Sleeping Preference

My 13 year old son asked my wife and I if he could start sleeping in the nude rather than in his boxers. My wife and I have no problem with his request... we respect his privacy in his preferences of sleeping attire (or lack thereof.) The question just really caught us off guard. Anyone else ever faced this question? If so, how did you respond? Did we do the right thing? Thanks!

Dear Dad,
Your son's request is a very common issue with teens. Most see pajamas as one of those pointless things that crazy adults seem to think are important (like neckties and neat rooms). There is nothing wrong with granting his request. Incidentally, it speaks well for your relationship that he would ask you first, as opposed to just telling you. Keep up the great work!
