I just wanted to say that I think one of my problems with raising my 13 and 15yrold is that I had such terrible teen years that I did't want them to go through what I did..but after reading your book, I quess I was pretty normal, lol!
I am trying very hard to let go of that thinking and just let them be themselves, because basically they are really good kids..even with their mishaps here and there.
So far they haven't tried drugs or alcohol..it would be kinda hard as they don't get out much. They would have to be doing it during the school day..and they are both in Catholic schools, so far my daughter's high school has expelled 25 kids for drug violations just this year...they have a no tolerance policy, if you're caught you're out..
