My 13 year old son (the middle child) has excellent social skills and has always had a number of friends. In addition to his male friends, he has a lot of female friends and 1 actual "girlfriend." He's the only one of his group that has a girlfriend and gets along so easily with girls.

My 16 year old son asked him how he manages to appeal to so many girls. Josh looked at him and with a matter of fact tone replied, "pheromones."
