What are some signs of depression in a 17 year old boy? Our son is driving us crazy, and we don't know if his behavior is normal or not. He has a job, which he likes a lot, and he likes to hang out with friends and golf - but he's getting a 2.75 GPA when he used to hold down a 3.5, and he's just turned into a rebellious, obstinate kid who doesn't want to take any sort of direction. He thinks he knows it all. He wants to be independent. In fact, he wants to move out in June - he won't be 18 till October - we told him forget it. How can we decide what's normal teenage craziness and what might be signs of trouble? His dad and I have been divorced since he was 9, but we get along well. He's living with his dad now by his choice, but I get calls at least twice a week from Dad saying "he's driving me nuts, I can't control him, I'm sick of his mouth" etc. etc. etc. Help!
