Dr. Bradley - greetings! My husband and I are big fans of your book and your talks (I've seen you speak twice, both here in Boulder County, Colorado). We have two great boys, ages 18 and 12; they are both growing up to be kind, funny and responsible young men! Thanks for your help with that.

I don't know if you have seen the news from Lafayette, Colorado, about the teen girl (age 15) who has been charged, along with her boyfriend (age 17) of murdering her mother last month. Two other teens, ages 16 and 18, are also being investigated. The crime was both revolting and heartbreaking.

The Boulder DA has decided to charge at least three of them, so far, as adults, which caused me to dig out the section in your book, "Trying Juveniles as Adults." I don't know if you ever consult with law enforcement or court officials about these types of cases, but if so, I think they could really use you right now!

I'm an attorney but my practice is limited to civil matters, so I don't profess to know the in's and out's of these types of cases. But if you do this type of consulting, I can't help but believe that your involvement would be helpful in salvaging anything from this sad mess.

Best regards, Karen.
